Terms of Service

  • Check-in time is 1:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am.
  • Photo ID issued by the government is compulsory for all occupantsincluding sharers. International travellers must provide a copy of theirpassport and visa, and must fill Form C.
  • All bills must be settled in full before check-out.
  • A safe deposit locker is available in the room. The management does not take any responsibility for the loss of valuables left in the room/lockers.
  • The maximum number of people allowed in a room is 3 persons.
  • Our primary goal is to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for all guests, thus between 10 PM to 7 AM noise levels should be kept to a minimum. Loud music or television, excessive talking or shouting, congregating in hallways or public areas, and disruptive behavior in rooms or common areas is not allowed.
  • Visitors are not permitted in guest rooms after 10:00 pm.
  • Smoke at your own risk. All rooms are strictly non-smoking. If you do crave for a drag, please ask us for an ashtray and smoke in the garden. If we do catch a whiff of it in the rooms, we will charge you a penalty to cleanse the room.
  • Our hotel is largely pet-free. Should you wish to bring a pet, please check with us.
  • Engaging in illegal activities such as drug use or prostitution is not allowed within hotel premises.
  • We do not allow bringing outside food and drinks into the hotel.
  • Guests will be held responsible for any loss or damage to hotel property caused by themselves, their friends, or any persons for whom they are responsible.
  • All our meals are served in the common dining area. While we do not have a pre-set menu, we serve an authentic Kerala three-course meal, made with the freshest ingredients. Breakfast is served between 8:00 - 10:00 am, lunch between 1:00 - 3:00 pm, and dinner between 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Since our meals are made-to-order, we require that you tell us at breakfast if you require lunch or dinner.
  • Available facilities may be used by guests. Right of admission is at the discretion of the management.

Privacy Policy

Kara and its affiliated entities are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our Guests’ personal information. This policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect guest data in compliance with applicable data protection laws of India.
We collect personal information from guests, including but not limited to:
  • Name, contact details, and identification documents
  • Payment information
  • Booking and stay details
  • Preferences and special requests
  • CCTV recordings for security purposes
Guest data is used for the following purposes:
  • Processing reservations and payments
  • Enhancing guest experience and personalising services Ensuring the security and safety of guests and property Compliance with legal obligations
We do not sell or rent guest data. However, information may be shared with:
  • Third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors, IT support, etc.)
  • Legal authorities, when required by law.
  • Business partners for loyalty programs or special services (with guest consent)
We implement security measures to protect guest data, including encryption, access controls, and secure storage. Only authorized personnel have access to guest information.

Guest data is retained only for as long as necessary for business or legal purposes. Data is securely disposed of when no longer required.
Guests have the right to:
  • Access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

This policy may be updated periodically. Guests will be notified of significant changes through our website or direct communication. By staying at Kara. Hotel, Fort Kochi, Guests acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • In the event of cancellation, the full amount will be charged.
  • Reservations are confirmed on a 'first paid first served' basis, and rooms will not be blocked until a 50% deposit is received.
  • The balance payment is required at the time of check-out.
  • Should you have to cancel your travel, we are happy to offer you one full year from your date of travel to redeem your stay (subject to availability at our hotel). We require a one-month notice before canceling to qualify for the year to rebook.
  • In the event of a 'no-show' or premature departure, the full extent of the stay will be charged, as originally booked and confirmed.
  • We recommend guests have travel insurance for cancellation and accident/medical costs.
  • We reserve the right to change our tariff and terms at any time. Tax changes may apply to already made bookings.
